Resurrected mirrors for my Vaquero

Got real bored, remembered I had an old set of pitted chrome mirrors from my 1500 classic. Started sanding, priming and painting. This is what I ended up with. What do you guys think? Should I go back to the ugly Mickey mouse ear mirrors the bike came with?

Looks good to me. However, to each his own, if you like them that's all that matters.

me too!
Ive seen orange custom Harleys with chrome this and that that really looks good, but something about my orange vaquero black and orange looks better to me maybe because the factory did so many black accents already. I hope I still feel the same way in years to come, as I'm changing a lot of it to black

They look good but they look small.
I like big mirrors so I can keep track behind me.

I used to have them on my 1500, they are optically correct. I see and get a better gauge of distance since they are not magnified like the stockers. I still have the stockers if I ever want to go back.

Trust me Skullbagger, my 1500 classic has tons of chrome and what a pain in the ass to keep shiny. I am in south Florida and we ride to the Keys every now and again. With the salt water in the air I have to wash and clean all the chrome and paint as soon as I get home or the salt will eat it away. Takes a good bit of time. With the new Vaq, I wipe her down with Bike Spirits spray and she looks like brand new. Clean in less than 30 minutes including the rims.

Having trouble staying ahead of your wife's Victory?

Tim, clearly you need a faster bike!

Yeah she can zip passed me anytime she likes that's for sure.
I was crouched down behind the windshield going up a long steep incline with the throttle wide open, she pulled up side of me, looked over, looked back ahead and left me in the dust
But I will still never own a bike you can hear clang bang into gear.
