A friend gave me one of these units and was wondering if any one has tried to retro fit on on there nomad ??? It came off a vetter fairing

Yes but after takeing a closer look I think it will be to combersome. Well at least it was free. It looks like this kinda

...It looks to be quite a large unit and kinda dated too, with a tape deck. But interesting units, none the less. :)

I was going to use the housing but its to big and looks bulky on the bike

Man that brings back memories!! There is no reason it won't work! They are still making housings almost the same to this day! Update the Stereo and put a good set of speakers in and away you go. And No that didn't come off a Venture - that was way before Venture's. Back in 75 or 76 Craig Vetter put them on his Fairings as an option. Man a set of "Bass 48" speakers and a Harmon Karman Deck and you were one Cool Cat!

I have a Vetter fairing that came off a kawasaki 900 that had one on it. I couldn't figure a way to mount it on my 1600 so I put it the on my atv .
