Fairing and spotlights

If I get the wide open fairing or any of them, can I do the spotlight mod that mounts them to the stock turn signal bar or is there clearance issues?

Hi Bill, when I mounted my fairing, I had to make a bracket that extended my spots out 2" (cobra lightbar). It may have worked with the flat back spots, but mine had the bullet style housings. I just got a peice of 3/16 stainless flat stock, traced the profile from the turn signal mount onto it, then moved back 2", traced it again. cut and drilled it, mounted it to trippletree, and mounted lightbar to it, and it looks great.

Thanks, I was hoping I could mount them turn the stock bar like in Gadget's site and just buy spots.
Hopefully somebody out there has tried this.

My spots just clear the fairing by about 1/16" - 1/8", I think they are the Fire&Steel lightbar, Im not positive because the bike came with them when I buoght it used. My lights are are a shallow design seales beam unit.

I have the wide open fairing with the custom world spots and i have plenty of room between both.

I also had to extend my spots out a little, but I used aluminum instaed of stainless.
Pretty easy mod, actually.

and either of the brackets on page 105 of their new catalog to mount the spots to the turn signal bar.
I tried to find the chrome relocators online but I guess they are to new.

ONE thing to LOOK for in a Spot,,,,, DOES it have H3 bulbs? so you can change bulb or wattage? OR is it SEALED Beam ,and when burns out you CHANGE the whole SPOT,, MORE $$$$ Rich

I thought I read on here somewhere that a couple of guys said to go with sealed beams. They said the H3 bulbs burned out to easy from the vibration.

So which is better?

My Hs lasted 3 years on my Honda and still going,, Ill be mountaing the HONDA light on the NOMAD,,,I broke the bracket so I have the lights LOL. ALSO HS bulbs are from 3 to 5$ each.. sealed beam 40$+???Each ALSO I think you can get HEAVY duty H# bulbs for OFF Road use .. BUT not 100% sure,,,,,,,,Rich,,
