Basco and the ROT Rally

This last weekend my wife and I met Basco and his wife at the Republic of Texas (ROT) rally in Austin, TX. Three full days and nights of typical rally events including bike build-offs, vendors, concerts, loud bikes of all types and boobs! This year I didn't take a ton of pictures of the rally, but I did take a few, most of which will need to be posted on the lighter side with a link attached. ;)

Basco, it was a genuine pleasure meeting you and your lovely wife Sue, even though you claimed she was just some hot chick who hopped on the back of your Nomad for a ride. I really don't know how she got so lucky to have you though. ;)You kept us in stitches and really made the weekend even more fun.

There were a couple of things I noticed though. First, your bike is way too quiet dude! At the parade my wife had to turn around to make sure you were still there because she couldn't hear you at all. I thought BD's bike sounded like

But your's was the real deal!

Second, I noticed that we've never seen your ugly mug on this website, either because you break the camera or can't find anyone willing to take your pic. Well, that's about to change...but there's more to the story.

A friend of my wife's went to the rally and found a spike for the top of his german style helmet. That got me to thinking, so we went to the vendor's tent and I ended up getting some modifications done to my helmet. Warning for those a little exhuberant about safety, the look of my helmet may not meet your criteria, but my kid thinks it looks "sick" and very cool, which means I did good. Here are a couple pics of my new look helmet with bear claws, yes, I said bear claws:

While we were standing around, Basco posed for a couple of pics with some very interesting helmets. Ladies and gentlemen, I present Basco...lmao...in all of his...finery:

Yes, those are helmets in the shape of boobs and one is pierced already! The lady in the first pic, looking away in shame, is Basco's lovely wife.

There you have it folks, you're finally getting to see Basco.

Not only did I make this change to my helmet, but I had more lights added to the bike and those pictures will be coming soon.

Good story, and yes Basco, you can say you are pretty, some here won't mind, but they're somewhere out in the desert just now.

SWB, of course you couldn't hear him, yours is probably too loud!

I rode out to the ROT Rally, too!
total 2580 miles for me; including the ride to Alamo, Coopers BBQ in Llano, and other rides.
Had a great time, except too hot for tent camping(around 100 every day)
I'd love to go again next year!
