I like my Reckless Fairing! I have a Radio Caddy (ABS Plastic) that I had on my RoyalStar TourerDeluxe before I traded it, it's okay but I prefer the Reckless over it.....

My 1600 had a fairing on when I got it. It's a Wide Open Plastics piece. Here's a link http://www.wideopencustom.com/Home/t...6/Default.aspx
Bare fairing w/o stereo and paint $750. With stereo no paint $850.

It looks great but the 1500 is not listed as a model that it fits!
I have emailed them asking if it can be modified as it's certainly an option, thanks for the info nmd07

It may not be able to be modified unless you use some spacers to mount it. The main difference between a 1500 and a 1600 Nomad front end is the fork spacing. The forks on a 1600 are approx an inch further apart from each other.

A pity as their price with a stereo and speakers at $850 is not bad at all

"caddyman" sorry to join in so late here. Busier than a cat cov'rin $hit.
I have the HD and bought it off a member, along with his tour pack. I had little to do with the gauges or anything. I just helped "strobe" install it. I have a website of his for you to look at. Maybe that will help you.
http://nomad.strobel.ws/hdfairing.php
I still have 2 small "holes" to fill. Maybe an oil temp. and water temp. gauges one day. I use the bluetooth radio through the speakers n the fairing but, as of yet I haven't been able to sync it with my SENA headset. Instead I have a dongle bluetooth hooked to my ipod and it streams nicely to the headset. I love the HD fairing. I stayed with the stock mirrors BTW, Let me know if I can help in any way.

Here a few photos of mine.

Thanks for your comments Jared. I hope you're planning to make the rally this summer.

Thanks rickyboy, that is a beautiful machine you have there. The more I look at the HD fairing the more I like the cut of its jib!

There is a lot of useful info in that website of "Strobe's"
Would you happen to know if there is much of a difference between this install on the '05 1600 and the '03 1500 that I have apart from the 1" difference in the width of the forks that ringadingh mentioned?

Meant to say I got a reply to my email to Chuckster, almost instantly I might add and it looks like I can remain in budget if I go for the HD fairing.
Its getting to look more and more like this is the way to go for me!
IF I can locate the fairing that is!
Still waiting for a reply from WideOpenCustom but then its still early over there while its getting dark here now and will soon be time to head home from the office.

I'd be very interested in hearing how you get on ringadingh with your quest!
Is eBay the best place to look for one?
