CTs are killers. (not really)

I went to an independent m/c shop to see about getting a c/t installed. First thing the guy tells me is i won't like it guaranteed. I ask why and he says the tire profile is flat and will ALWAYS be riding on the edge of the tire even when going straight. Basically back and forth on opposite edges. So i tell him i never heard of that from the hundreds of people that have c/t. A customer then says he had a c/t and went down because of it. When i asked for particulars he ignored me. I asked him if it was the c/t or did he think he would have gone down with a m/c tire. He wouldn't answer me. He also said a lot of people have died riding on c/t . I asked where i could find this info and said he has just heard this not read it. So i guess another uninformed M/C expert has all the answers. Unbelievable.

That is like me saying I crashed my Nomad with a CT on and couldn't even drop the bike if I wanted too.

And i couldn't have if I wanted too, but not because I had a CT, but because the ft tire wa locked under a jeep bumper!

I do agree that lots of people have died using car tires, but most of them were driving a car at the time.

I am sure guys on bikes with ct's on have been killed, but for the same reasons we get killed on mc tires.

What they are saying is basicly it is better to stay filthy than take a bath, because you can fall asleep in a nice warm bath and drown. You could risk standing for a shower, but might slip and fall, and take a wack on the head and die.

$300 ! ? !

I definititely wouldn't be giving him any of my business for anything.

You can buy a Harbor Freight tire changer and the motorcycle adapter and a Mojo bar for a lot less than $300. Then you can do all your tire changes yourself and keep the rest of the money in your pocket!

I'll tell ya what! If it were me, and once I had the feel, maybe 1,000 miles, maybe less with that CT I would go back and tell that chump, he will not see a thin dime of yours if he was the last tire changer in history!

300 bucks my a$$.... No one would flip it on for me either, but no one said anything like that.

So I just did it the old way which I am accustomed too.

I hope you get so good on the CT that you can do figure 8's, and grind the boards, and then show the fool that he is a Royal Fool! TOO!

I agree with Mac.... That's a bunch of BULL..

Save your money and give yourself a pat on the back when you finish mounting the CT on your bike yourself.

Take that money saved from the STEALER DEALER and go have a blast on your bike.
