Airtex fuel pump

These fuel pumps mentioned are Airtex fuel pumps and the company cooperate office is as follows:

Airtex Products, LP
407 West Main Street
Fairfield, IL 62837

Here is a little response I wrote on another thread:

If not I will have no choice, but to order the ones from the dealer at 650 bucks.

This my writ-up:

The E8455 would be the style of connector that would be used on the 1600's( plug style) and E8023 style is for the 1500's(terminal style). However, ever though the pumps look alike the sizes are different too. I had to get the E2111 for my 1500, that I carry with me for emergency. I had bought it a couple years ago when I was having fuel problems. I did make a couple of adjustments to make it work and it did but since the fuel pump was not the problem I put the oem one back on and carry this one with me for spare.

The first picture shows the similarity of the pumps but the size is much different
The second picture shows the oem on the left and the E211 on the right.

Third picture shows the fuel inlet of the oem pump and the E2111 pump.

The forth picture is the rubber gasket that goes on the inlet side of the pump. The oem is on the left and the one on the right is the one from the larger pump that is in the first picture. This will give you an idea how much bigger that pump is compared to the oem one.

The outer diameter of E2111 is about an inch a half and so if the one you have is much more than that then you might have the wrong one.....I hope it is not.

PS I have not seen a 1600 fuel pump apart from knowing from other people that the connections are different from the 1500's. So I am writing this taking their word for it. So I am assuming other than that, size wise they might be close in size.
