Question Kuryakyn ISO grips-1700 Voyager

Has anyone installed the Kuryakyn ISO grips on their 1700 Voyager and if so how was the throttle installation and what do you think of the grips?
Thanks in advance for any information.

Have the ISO mine, first thing I do is get rid of the stock grips. Also have the throttle mod, maybe I did mine wrong but I didn't really notice any difference.

I had ISO grips on my last bike, and went with Avon's on my Voyager - I won't go back to Kurys . . . Was at the DC bike show today and sat on a Victory with ISO's - the Avon's feel so much better in my hand . . . The ISOs are har, and with the clamshell design, the rubber is split instead of a uniform cushion all around the grip . . . If you do get any replacement grips - consider sending them to RacinRay for his throttle mod . . . You will be pleased . . .

Oh - and the install for the Avons took 15 minutes . . .

I prefer the Iso's myself. Have them on my Vaq with Ray's throttle mod. Awesome.

I have the ISO grips and like them. You can order either one from Ray with the throttle mod, he usually has them in stock.

Another vote for Avons. ISO's will "chalk up" after awhile and the rubber turns your hands black.

The Kury's always seemed to be designed more for form over function
And they will definitely turn your hand black
The avon's are nice looking and very comfortable
And save yourself some money and do your own throttle mod

Those of you that have the Avon's, is the diameter of the grip considerably larger than the Kury ISO's? That is the most important part for me, I have large hands.

I believe the diameter is smaller on the Avons, one thing I didn't like on the Avons is that the rubber is harder.

I had Kury grips on the last bike. Hands were always black and the glue let go after 1 season. They were comfortable but with the cruise on the Nomad that I have now I don't need them.
