My other life in a m/c

It's been a long time since I've posted anything here, mainly because I either can't keep up with all the posts or everything that could be said has been. That being said, I also haven't posted much because I've been very busy on the weekends with the m/c I'm prospecting: B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). Recently we were profiled on the local ABC affiliate as the community group of the week. Here is the link to the news clip. If you look closely, you will see the famous Nomad saddlebag about 3 times as well as yours truly. You will know me by my famous spiked helmet. You'll also see a young lady on the back of my bike. That's not my wife, it's the daughter of the vice-president of our chapter. He had the honor of carrying a former BACA child who was willing to express how BACA affected her in a positive way.

In the BACA world, my roadname is Hoss. For those who have met me, well, it fits.

Hey Spike, I salute you for your contribution to a great cause. I've been wondering where you've been, I've been wanting to tell you about all of the muuuuud down here with all of the rain we've been getting. Will you be in Antlers week after next??

If everything goes right and my dachshund continues to get better, I plan on being there. He was diagnosed with distemper after getting it from a new puppy we got. The puppy passed away this last Sunday and we've been nursing the older one back to health. He just started eating better, getting water from a bowl and going outside. Over the past week or so I've been hand feeding him grilled chicken because it was all we could get him to eat and giving him water with a spoon or a syringe. And the water had to be sugar water. He's our baby and this has been rough for us.

Sorry to hear of the loss of the puppy and the sick family member. I know the feeling having to put our 15 year old Dachshund down 4 years ago. That was tough to say the least. Hope he gets better and looking forward to arm wrestling you in Antlers. Yeah right......

sounds like a very positive way to spend your time Jeff. Good on you. Hope your "best friend" gets well soon.
Also nice to see you back here. You were noticeably absent.

The camera seemed to like the Nomad, lots of pictures. Maybe that is the only one I could identify.
Hope your little buddy gets better soon.

I did BACA in SLC, I got to carry around Miss Utah on one of our rides. She looked at the bikes and thought the Nomad looked the most comfortable. My charming personality and good looks might have helped too :)

Hey Jeff, Good on you my friend. BACA is an awesome organization. It takes a while to get in and gain colors but that is how it should be.

Too bad about the puppy problems.

I hope all else is okay. Be well,
Bud
