Just wondering what type of amplifier system is being use on your motorcycle sound system? I also was wondering how big the amplifier's are and where to install it? ??? I just bought Pyle PLCD3MR marine stereo with CD, USB & SD card slot and it puts out 40 watts per channel. I also got a pair of Polk DB521 speakers (marine rated) with minimum 45 watts output and maximum 135 watts output. Sure would appreciate your input! :)

I always wear a full face helmet and I resent it when people pull up next to me in their cars with their speakers blaring so for me the choice of a sound system required speakers in the helmet. My choice was a J&M CB with an XM satelite radio plumbed into it. Lots of channel choices, bike to bike communication and can stay in touch with road savy drivers on long trips.

I have a similar set up to Idaho, J & M with iPod hooked up to it. I want to hear my choice in music not what someone else is listening to. Plus, with the CB/intercom, I can chat with my bride on the back and with my fellow riders.

I just hooked up my J&M with my Sirius radio. Thats the way to go. I had speakers on mine for awhile but never was happy with the sound and always found myself adjusting the volume when I came to lights.

I used a 200 watt amp on my speakers.
