Heated Grips or Bars?

Was wondering if anyone out there can recommend a good heated grip, prefer easy to use and easy to install, don't need anything fancy. I also saw the earlier thread on the Polly Heaters (heat the bar instead of the grip). Anyone got any input/experience with those?

I will buy some good winter gloves but thought I owed it to myself to be even more prepared for cold on long trips.

Food for thought, when we ski in the really cold spots, we use those things (not sure what they're called) that you crush and put into your gloves and ski boots, they heat up (hot!), last for about 6hrs. now we have tried them for motorcycle use... coming back from Charleston, SC to Bloomington, Il in early April, going through the mountains of N.C. it got cold ! And they worked GREAT ! And they're low cost to boot. Most outdoor stores have these things, geeeee I wish I could remember the name, sorry !

how did you get it to stay in or on the glove without getting in the way? Maybe I am not picturing what your saying. ???

I have heated gloves that work well from Widder. They plug into the plug for my trickle charger.
About $130.00.

The things I'm talking about are about the size if a tea bag. They don't really get in the way.

These always looked interesting to me, but I have not broke down and bought anything. They look like they might work pretty good and you can use what ever grips you want. Plus they are $45.00 compared to some of the heated grips out there.

Thanks All...I ordered the engine guard chaps and am going to buy some good gloves first...if I am still cold I will try the hot paks that DR GSKI recommended...I have a bunch from when I watched my daughter's soccer games in the damp cold...they worked great...didn't think about it until you suggested.
