my next dream ride
i have a trip planned where i would ride from wyoming to
newport,or.,then down the coastal highway into northern ca.,then over to reno and across hwy.50[loneliest highway in america] to colorada, then back yp to wyoming.i am thinking early sept.as i am told there would be less of a problem with fog on the pacific coast highway at that time of year.do any of you have any advice on a trip like this?

Yep, one word "Do it. Just do it."
Fog this far north isn't that much of a problem during the summer. One good thing about post Labor Day, fewer people. We love Sept/Oct up here, we get our states back from the tourists. <G>

September is by far the best month on the coast with October being a close second. Stay in touch and if I'm still in the area, I'd like to join you for a leg or two.

The Nomad handles rain so well...it's weight and center of balance keep it "stuck" to the road even in the wet stuff. In comparison, those HD skinny front ends...grrrr, don't even dare riding those down I-5 when it's wet. The ruts will kill you.
