They are all cruisers, meaning in the original context, form over function mentality.

If you and your wife like it and can afford it....buy it. Oh what a boring life one would live if he/she only purchased things that were practical and made sense.

Thanks for encouraging words John. Kinda like when new couples, young, wait till they can afford to have children. Hell, You can never afford children without some sacrifices. My kids always came first. They were raised and then I got back into bikes and trips. I will slide into the grave the way i came into this world. Naked and broke. LOL

Don't let my words bring you down . . . that is what makes the world an interesting place to live . . . I have a hell of a lot more respect for a guy who says "Fuggit . . . I LIKE it and the rest of y'all can GFY!" because that's what the rider spirit is all about . . . Being yourself . . . If it makes you and your lady happy . . . its a no brainer . . . like me . . .

All the post got My little mind thinking. I want a new Indian roadmaster. Ponch is on a beamer. Blown dodge loves His victory. Trip is loving his goldwing. I know there are fellas here (Cactusjack) on Harleys.
I know some here on on the vulcan forums on the rocketIII. Can Ams. Old, New, slow fast. Crotchies. baggers, dressers, trikes.
We are all here for the same reason. to have the wind in our faces and to enjoy this gorgeous country the best way I know.
Ride on Brothers and Sisters, and keep on visiting Vulcan baggers and sharing.
Shep.

We all love riding with the wind in our face. Many of us started here with the Nomad when this was KawaNow and other Kawasaki models when it changed to VBA. Some have moved on to other brands as their needs/tastes have changed. We stay here because of the friendships we have developed and our overall enjoyment of motorcycles.

Don't let blowndodge fool you as he still cries when he sees his old Nomad.

I still wish I had kept my 2006 Nad, black beauty. Still miss the girl. Traded it on a new 09 star 950 to teach son to ride. He learned, but, works too much to ride. I sold that to a gal in Indy. She loves it. Was just broke in when i sold it with 700 miles.

It is not what I would buy but I will certainly agree that Indian has some great paint colors. I have ridden one and while they are comfortable in the seat the ergonomics fro much of the rest of the ride wasn't to my taste.

One of the reasons I got my Voyager was because I did not have to add anything to it to make it rideable (for me). I've been able to ride for many, many years because I never had kids but I still could not spend that much money on a bike, I could barely bring myself to spend that much on a car.

It's a beautiful bike but wouldn't work for me. One I would feel guilty about not keeping perfectly cleaned and polished. I would rather ride. Two the main reason I wouldn't buy is the heat coming off the back jug is unreal. I've demoed it a couple of times and in the summer I thought my right thigh was going to blister while riding in the city. The power it makes is nice but the heat negates enjoying it for me. In the end the only ones who have to be happy about is the ones writing the check.

In July '14, I traded my '06 Nomad in on a new Cheiftain. I love the bike, but I miss the Nomad....and hanging out here all the time. Great bunch of guys here.

Indian

Love the Indians very impressive but I am very happy with my 2014 Voyager. I would love to have a bike of every brand.

I stopped in the dealer one day with my wife and test rode a RM. I was just there to take a look. A week later drove away with it. No regrets. My wife is frugal but she was all in once we stopped in at the dealer. It's a great motorcycle. The heat issue is real but after a fuel controller, drilled out pipes and air cleaner it's much better. My Nomad was pretty darn hot too.

I have been to Dealer once by my self just to see the colors I had not yet seen in person. Month back.
Yesterday wife went with and It was windy and 60 degrees. We took a short test ride, and, Lo and behold, she told Me to get everything in the works to get it. She really liked the ride apparently and she seems to be more excited about the new steed than I. I love the Voyager, but, I think the new Indians are top notch stuff. Done deal, I am a new Indian Roadmaster owner. I will throw a pic on here when I pick Her up.
