The way they made the brackets. The lowers are on the inside of the brackets hideing the chrome. The lowers will fit on the out side like they should if you cut off about a 1/4 inch of the bracket. Then the curve part of the chrome lower bracket will fit. Then you will hardly see the Reckless brackets. Will do that when i take it in for paint. Will take pics of the before and after.

10% and there is no coupon code, you email them with a copy of your VBA certificate a what you want (I built it in their online shopping cart and then emailed them exactly the way the art described it). At that point if it is early enough they will call you that day to wrk out the details and do a Credit card purchase over the phone. I would HIGHLY recommend you ask for them to email you a receipt and contact you when it is shipped. I called them today to find out it shipped Friday....I have to be there to sign for it so if my wife wasn't home today to sign for it I would have to drive out 40 minutes to pick it up since I didn't get a heads up for planning.

Does the gel coat wax up well or would it need to be repainted black to look proper?

I bought a tourpak for my 2007 Nomad and it had a black gelcoat finish. I thought it would look okay with my black Nomad. It didn't. I ended up having it painted HD vivid black. The gelcoat had a dull sheen to it, even when waxed and buffed. I can't speak for the finish on the Reckless fairings since I've never seen their gelcoat.

Looking at pics of Jared's bike in his walk around video it appears my Phat risers won't work as they will cover the radio. It's been awhile since I bought the risers so I don't remember if they are just Phats or Phat 2's. |

Jared doesn't have a Reckless fairing. I know the Reckless will work with *some* risers, but I'm not sure which ones. I had Chucksters risers on my Nomad and had to remove them when I installed the fairing.

It seems to be good enough, I did not wax it but I spray polished it and it looked great

Thanks again. Maybe someone else will chime in here on the risers.
Although a 2006 in the Reckless website photos looks like it has my risers on.
