Oddly enough I just noticed for the first time yesterday that my 2008 Nomad speedometer is only calibrated in km/h with no markings for mph.
Being that we use km/h up here in Canada it's not such a big deal, but it is rather inconvenient when I wish to go state-side this summer.

Is there some type of over-lay a guy can get or a dual Gage dial?

Anyone else find this odd?

It is on the other hand, a perfect reason to sell the wife on needing a GPS ;)

I took a look at my speedo and it is in miles since it was originally an american bike, but it does have km in tiny numbers on the inside of the graduations. They were hard to see without my glasses, I prefer mph and can do the calculation almost instantly.
There is a guy that makes custom faceplates with pictures on them, he could most likely do something for you if need be.

Install a GPS and forget about the speedo. It is not correct anyway.

I had this same problem, when in the U.S and was being followed by a state trooper for what seemed like for ever. Every change in the speed limit or small town we entered had me thinking OK 80kph =50mph, what's 25mph, oh forget it I'll just go slow!
2008's are analog, digital odometer and trip meter

Well it's good to hear I haven't got some kinda "freak" gauge.
I am really leaning towards "Watchman's" sggestion of a GPS.
Now does anyone have any recomendations besides the ones that cost $700.00

By the way "CNC" we have the same bike. I need to get some top rails. I find it difficult to get off with out tagging the bags.

Analog display, digitally controlled.
Leadbelly: here is a link for custom speedo faces. Had one done and put on mine and had him take the Kmh off of it for me. Send him a graphic and he can put it on your speedo face with the markings you need. Not a bad price either!

The one he did for me turned out great and real easy to install, but I get concerned riding in MI

In that case, I like the colour of your bike!
My wife as a passenger was nailing the top of the bags, and sometimes the passenger seat when she got on or off. Now she gets on from the right side and straightens her leg completely before swinging the other over. I'm fairly tall, so it is not so much of an issue for me.
