1500 Nomad Tire/Rim Size (Double Checking)

Hi, I have finally decided to go go with the Elite 3's bias tires for my 2000 nomad. I realize that my rim size is 3 1/2 inches and the stock tires are 150/80/16...I'm planning on going with 160/80/16 for the rear. Am I correct to assume the stock rim is wide enough to handle the 160? Just double checking before I pull the trigger...
Thanks, Jody

3.5"-4.5" rims should handle the 160 just fine.

That is correct. 150 for the front and a 160 for the rear, everything fits perfect.

Jody, I think you are going to love the Elite 3's. I have about 2,000 miles on mine and can't see any wear at all. Ride great and are noise free.

I've ordered 4 ounces of dyna beads which should also help the ride...I've only been looking at the different brands for about a month now and after all the research decided to give these elite 3's a try. I've purchased Metzeler's in the past (880's) and always had good luck with them, but the only ones I located were made in Brazil, not the ones I'm used to, when they were made in Germany...I'm not even sure they are inferior, but since I heard some negative replies I went with the Elite 3's...Thanks for the post, Jody
