Well after visiting gadgets site with cut away filters, and doing a ton of internet studying, my conclusion is the pure one filter wins hands down! For about $5-6 bucks a pop well worth the 99.9% effectiveness.

Went out today and bought the Pure One oil filter at Advanced Auto for $5.88. cat sh*t yellow but who cares, you can visually look and tell if it might have fallen off. I do like the sand grit finish all over it for easy on/off. And since it 99.9 effective I dont care if it was pink. :-)

you say its 99.9 % effective, but as a former employee in the world of filters, what SAE test was that rated on? At what micron level? It what level of restriction?
depending on the test and the parameters I could make any filter sound great Login or Register to Remove Ads |

i went on line and you can read all the tests done on alot of filters. gadgets page has alot of the same stuff too. 110 sq in media in the Pure One vs. 45-60 in the others. I dont recall all the micron numbers but your right. depends on the testing done. Check it out.

I'll have to look at that one Doc. I've been running the M1-110 for a while now and like it, but it's a PITA to get off since I still have stock pipes and goat belly. Kind of tight in there. I'm going to have to look into the Pure One.

I've been running Wally Worlds filter for quite some time and I'm pleased with it. Larger than the stock filter but still fits. A little over 2 bucks.

I've gone through at least 12 SuperTech filters in the past 5 years. I cut one open myself and I think they're pretty good filters. The construction is stout and the media looks like high-quality stuff.
