Wiring question

??? I'd like to wire a power plug into the extra wires coming from the headlight assembly. My questions are
  • is that conncection fused :-[[/*:m:7hq8upyd]
  • is it connected via the ignition :-[[/*:m:7hq8upyd]
  • and a 10 AMP in-line fuse should be fine for a GPS :-[ ??? [/*:m:7hq8upyd]

1. Yes
2. No, I believe it's always hot
3. 10a should be more than sufficient for a GPS.

That said, I wouldn't wire a 12v outlet into existing wiring. I'd run a 12ga, fused lead back to the positive battery terminal. Why? Because you never know what you might need that 12v power for. Today it might be a GPS, but you never know in the future. You might need to power something that requires more current.
