Who has the Scootworks luggage rack or has made their own?
I have the templae for the side mount brackets but I do not know the space between the 2 to make the top plate,, and I still have 2 ft of snow around the shed,, I would like to cut all the metal and either chrome it or powder coat it before spring,, Im still out of work for at least 4/6 weeks or when the Doc says i can go back,,so I have alot of extra time .THANKs Rich

Radco, are you asking about the rack you mount a trunk on, like the wompus rack (witch scootworks sells)? I could get the dimensions off mine, but mine is a 1600, and I think they're different.

Rich,

Since your picture shows your bike with a luggage rack, I will assume you are referring to a rack to mount a trunk on? The Scootworks rack is a Wompus rack.

Luggage Rack?

I am fabricating mine using tubes that will bolt in place of the stock backrest so that those nice grab bars remain in place. I will then form the "grid" of steel that the trunk will bolt to (rubber mounted of course). I will then weld in an angled gusset on each side for extra stability. Check out this discussion I had with Master Mac http://kawanow.proboards77.com/index...ad=8271&page=1

Luggage Rack?

I made my own rack based on the Scootworks, and mounted the Scootworks Trunk/Backrest/Chrome Rack. I was sad to loose the stock passenger grab rails so made my own from polished stainless steel to replace them and was pleased with the result.

Luggage Rack?

Hi,
Just bought the luggage rack and trunk from Scootworks for a 1600, but haven't installed it yet. Between 13-15/16th and 14 inches between the side rails (inside) where they join the plate, depending on where I measure (front / middle / back.)
Tom
