I have a Bell Star. Check out the review at http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motor...helmet-review/
I have a gloss black one. It flows more air than any other full face I have owned. I have a HJC IS MAX BT. It matches the '10 Voyager black/Red pretty good. Easy to put on and off because it is a modular. Definitely cheap feeling compared to other helmets though. I have a Bell Revolver Modular Helmet. Solid modular helmet. has more of a round fit than the the Bell star so not quite as comfortable for my shape head. I tried the GMAX GM68S because it advertised a lot of air flow. It is OK but nothing like the Bell Star. If you don't want to spend the money on a Bell Star check out the Bell Vortex. Same air flow in a more budget helmet.

Full Face Helmet
Last year I bought a Nolan N43 and really like it especially the flexibility it offers.

Zeus
I have a Zeus modular.
Bought it about 5 years ago. Haven't really tested it, like in a crash, but it has been good so far. |

I have a Fulmer. It is my first modular. Unlike ponch, mine seems quiet. In fact I have to really crank the tunes on the bike to hear them. Maybe they made some better advancements in the last 5 years.

It could be I sit higher and get more turbulence or may be they made changes. The funny thing is, it's much quieter with the visor up than down.

I have a HJC Symax II. When I fit it on, it felt fine. After riding with it, my jaw ached from the pressure right below my ears. Replacing the cheek pads helped a bit, but it still bothers me after about an hour or so of riding. If I unlatch the bottom, it releases the pressure, but that also defeats the purpose of a full face..
I like the flip down sunvisor, but hate the amount of wind noise I get from what seems to be the adjuster on top of the helmet. I guess I would give it a rating of 2 stars out of 5 for me. That is also why I end up using my half shell unless the temps are in the 20's. A helmet that distracts and makes noise isn't worth it to me. Maybe someone who has a different shaped head would be better for this helmet.

Jim, in his first sentence he said "I have a HJC Symax II. When I fit it on, it felt fine."
I assume he meant when he tried it on it fit fine.

Must be the meds I am no longer taking. I wonder why the tightness didn't show up in the trial fit? Something like that should be apparent. Live and learn I guess. It can be an expensive lesson.

Stay off the meds, your head will clear up after awhile
My Gmax flipup feels fine for the first few hours but it eventually hurts my right ear. Seems to be pressure there after a while. As soon as the snow and ice go away I am going to mess with the pads and try to get it fixed. Other than that I really like the helmet.

Maybe my head is simply getting fatter? I know that a few of my shirts seem to be getting smaller too...

I had the same problem with my Fulmer modular helmet. After a while the pressure on my face would make my jaw hurt. I solved the problem by cutting out some of the foam out of the cheek pads to relieve the pressure. I've not had a problem for the last four years of using it.

My Nolan fits fine if I wear it by itself If I try to wear it with a doo rag it is tight and gives me a headache after about a hour so I learned not to wear a doo rag with it

It seems like the Shark Evoline 2 is in short supply. Everybody says "back ordered" or have limited selections. Also seems like the largest size is XXL. I wonder if they run large? Must be very popular.
