reed valve removal

What is the purpose of removing the reed valves.
is it worth the removal.
And how hard is it.
What else needs to be removed when you do this.

reed valve removal

It is not hard to do. I eliminates a lot of vacuum equipment that becomes unecessary when you mod the intake. I also noticed that when I did my mod I removed the reed valves and the ICS from the intake and my engine makes a lot less noise.
