Pipes for a carbed Nomad
If you put V&H baggers on a 2000 carbureted Nomad does the jets have to be changed? Would the gas mileage increase or get worse? ???
Thanks, zoom45

Pipes for a carbed Nomad
My experience with jets are "if its not broke don't fix it" Put the pipes on and see how it runs generally if you are just doing the pipes and nothing to the intake you don't need to re-jet. After you change the pipes get some new plugs and see how they look after a little while of riding around. You want a nice brown color - White means your running too lean

Pipes for a carbed Nomad
I 2nd that. I had a carbed 1500 classic w/ pipes that back fired real hard, I put in a stage one kit and plugs (hotter) that finally fixed my problem. and the stage one kit greatly improved its performance. take a look at www.gadgetjq.com its got some cool stuff for carbed bikes.
