Post.... Chuck Burt funeral.....

I just wanted to let everyone know that Chuck's funeral was not only well attended, but very, very nice.

Over 50 bikes met at the funeral home yesterday morning for the procession from the funeral home to the church.

At the services, Chucks black, stetson hat was on the front sign-in table. In the chapel, Chuck's casket lay, with his vest hanging next to it on an easel.

The service lasted over an hour. Several were asked to give a eulogy. I gave one on behalf of KawaNOW. Many people came up to me after the services complimenting KawaNOW on the donation opportunity. And BTW, the money that all of us donated in Chuck's memory (over $2,500.00!!!) went to the family to help pay for such things as travel/hotel expenses for the family and shipping expenses for Chuck. Chuck's body is being shipped to NC for burial. I understand that several of you in the NC area plan on attending the graveside service and I think that is great. I know the family would really appreciate it.

My helmet is off to all of you in KawaNOW for stepping up and helping with the donations. Your generosity did not go unnoticed.

Very nice Trip. I was happy to help in my own small way. I hope you never have to do it again.
