Kris, I've been up that way through Grangeville and McCall a few times. I look forward to going up to Lolo and across 12. According to Yahoo maps it's 546 miles. I'm thinking up that way and home the other. Makings of a great ride.

Is this where I chime in with the "It's 3,000 miles for me?" But if you take the way I usually travel it will be 5,000 and who the heck cares anyway? It's someplace I haven't been so I have to go no matter how far it is!!!

Obviously you have insider knowledge and experience that I don't need to know.

Looks like a very nice location.

As for dates, mid to late June or early July works for me. Just need enough advance notice to book the vacation time off.

Only 385 miles if I go the shortest way......I won't.

For those who have not ridden Lolo pass (Hwy 12) you are in for a treat. There are many other nice roads coming and going in the area. Hells Canyon, FR 39 and Rattlesnake in Eastern Oregon, Hwy 93 in Idaho. Baker City is a great bike town to stay. If any of you need some recommendations for routes through Oregon, Washington, Idaho and even western Canada just let us know. Rickyboy, you going to get our Northern brothers to motorcade it down for this one?

Kris, the hotel looks awesome for cocktail hour.

It is for sure....but we need to get some dates firmed up quickly and hope that some rooms can be blocked out for us there. Middle of the week should be easier....but that is a popular place in the summer as people travel through the area.

I was looking at coming back through Montana. Just checking some motels near Yellowstone and many of them are already booked up.

I need feedback from you guys about what week would be best in July. 7th, 14th or 21st.

Following input this weekend I will call the motel event coordinator on Monday to get a block of rooms set aside. Joel and I want to hold a combined NW-SW rally so we may block out all of their rooms. Who knows?

I vote for the week of the 21st. I'm thinking if you block out 25 rooms that would be plenty. Try to get as many as you can on the river side of the building! If I remember, I think the hotel sets up a nice bike washing area as well. They also have a great breakfast...not a cheesy little continental one, but a real one. The walk-in cooler in the lobby for beer and wine is a little over the top, but a really nice touch too.
