There has been talk, but Kawasaki isn't saying anything definitive yet.

Wonder what kind of mpg the v2k gets?That would be a deciding factor if they came out with it and mileage wasnt great for me anyways it was kinda of a shock at first when i got the 1500 and only getting 26mpg(fixed and getting 38) from 48 with the 900

The damn V2K's get around 48 mpg but will wear out a back tire in a heart beat! Also, getting bags to fit around the stock exhaust is not so good.

I'd just love to see MAWKAW come up with a new computer and fuel injection system, maybe a change in cams and a better flowing head to take advantage of the CC's the Nomad already has.

I agree with Bob. 1600cc should do the job wouldn't ya think? The V2K's wear out kinda fast for me. Lots have reported valve or ring issues at about 30K. Really great heads and a comprehensive FI unit on a 1600 would be the ticket.

??? V2K's, Yer Kiddin? Air & Liquid Cooled,Pushroads,weighs a ton,inhales tires........A Pig! ::) If ya want more try the Rocket 3
Tour. Handles great, Outrun most anything out there and rides well. But for me...... That Nomad 1500 or 1600 has more than most can handle to its full Potential. ;) In terms of Price,Ride, Handling, Looks, Maintenance and Geddyup ain't nothin runnin a close 2nd to The Nomad. And you can take that to the Bank! |

Power and torque are crazy. Took the dealer some prodding to let me take for a quick spin. |

I have to be honest, If Kaw came out with the Nomad with the 2000 mill, I would be interested. What would interest me even more is if they left the current motor in and changed the thing to a belt drive. My ONLY complaint about my Nomad is the whining that comes on every shaft drive bike. Not to mention the loss of ponies to all the joints. After having two shaft drive bikes, one chain, and a belt, I'll take the belt all the way. Other than that, I think the current motorcycle market is obsessed with displacement. I'm a guy and like big motors, but realistically the current motor has plenty of HP to get you down the road. Let's not forget, 8 years ago or so 1500 was about as big a motor as you could get in a twin.

I wouldn't buy one myself.I am fine with the Nomad. The Nomad does everything I need and want with complete reliability.I don't think anyone makes a better bike of this type for the money.
