WTB fairing for 2007 Nomad

Not a wizard on the abbreviation folks. Hopefully WTB stands for I want to buy? I am lining up my winter projects. Will be switching out tires and doing the rear swing arm/drive train service and the front forks oil and steering head. Figure when the bikes down for a couple weeks it would be the right time to switch out the windshield for a fairing. I am open minded about which one, but right now the preferred option is HD bat-wing, but price and options talk! Black and titanium bike so black would be a color match. Just PM me from profile or reply to thread. I check what's posted most days. In Jacksonville FL if location is a question. Thanks all.

WTB fairing for 2007 Nomad

There are a few batwing fairings to choose from, HD, and Premeux are two popular ones. The Premeux comes painted to your bikes stock colors and is a real simple bolt on. I like the look of the HD inner fairing if you want to mount gauges. it looks really good from the riders view.

Ringadingh which fairing outter and inner are you using? Do you have he guages mounted or just a stereo. Your looks top notch from your photo's

I have the Premeux fairing, my inner has no gauges, yet. Just a stereo and speakers. You can go to there website and get a good look at them, they are a very well made fairing. It really makes trips on the highway more bearable, especially in bad weather.

WTB fairing for 2007 Nomad

ok, for all you fairing guys out there.. does it REALLY make riding more barable? I go back and forth about a fairing. I get VERY minimal buffeting at highways speeds. I must be perfectly vertically challanged for this! thanks mom.... I got windshield up, lower one down, and chucksters large lowers. unless a time comes where I REALLY want a system in it I don't know if she's worth the money.. take the tour pak.. pricey, but LOVE it. well spent. Sheesh, I don't know.. I need a few beers for this one!

I find the fairing better than the windsheild for protection from the wind and elements,especially on the hands and arms. But I ride every possible day from early spring until the snow and salt stop me in winter. If I lived in a area like Florida or Arizona, Im not sure if I would install one, but then Im not a warm weather person either. It does provide a good area to mount a radio and gauges,gps lighter etc also.
They are good in the rain also as it deflects the water around you better than a windsheild. Since having one on my bike Im not sure if I would ride without one again especially on long trips.

Hey, as long as we are discussing it would be nice to know what each person who has a fairing spent & where they sourced it. I am especially interested in if my Cobra Lite bar can be retained with the various models.
And Borto; I ate my first June bug at 60 mph on when crossing the Grand River leaning out from behind the windshield of my 1973 Yamaha to take a peak at what was going on the fish ladder.

I bought my bike as you see it used, so I don't know what the original owner paid. I think the fairings are about $1200.00 from Premeux with the stereo, The prices used to be listed on there website.

I have a Hoppe Quadzilla, bought through my dealer but J&P cycles has them cheaper.
I paid $1500 2 years ago. Worth every penny!

I'm on and off the board these days so give me one or two days to respond.

This specifically made for a Nomad and YES, it is an exceptionally good upgrade.

I am concerned about how to ship it...
