LED's are the way to go. They are inexpensive and last forever. I use the strips and have them mounted on the saddlebags brackets.

I have LED Tombstone shaped lights on the saddlebags and an LED strip on the back top of the passenger backrest.
They are wired run/brake lights.
You can see one of them here but this was before I put the LED strip on the back of the passenger seat.

That looks great but I don't have that many options on the VAQ. I saw some strips once that looked like they were between the bag's and the fender and can't find that pic again

You may want to look at the one of these setups. You have the freedom to put them on your bags or wherever.

http://www.hyperlites.com/3way.html

They are bright and the flashing grabs the attention of those behind you. The closer to eye level that they are mounted the more likely they'll get noticed.

Ride safe!

You can actually make ur own "plasma rod", I'm trying to come up with a bracket or plate to make a gap eliminator to flush mount my lights. Definitely ain't payin premium for what I can do myself

Thanks, I figure if they can't see me now, then blind people shouldn't be driving.
