Glowing Caddman Mod

Decided to add a little spice to my Caddman mod! Check out my blog for more pictures and a walk through of how I did it.

Absolutely Great. I have the Double Cadmann, most guys have gone to the smaller air cleaner, but this give me incentive to keep my "big" Spectra Air Cleaners. What's a LED calculator used for?

You can't just give LED's 12 volts of power right from the battery. It needs to be setup in the correct circuits based on forward voltage. So I have 15 LEDs total, but they are in 5 groups of 3 and each group has a 27 Ohm resistor. This gives it the best light and longest life. You get all the stuff you need from the specs of the LEDs. I order all my LEDs on superbrightleds.com

This is what I am planning to do with my lowers. I'll drop a "box" in to make them work as turn signal. I just need to work out the circuit in the "box", save a little money and find the time. After seeing your work, I am really excited about how it will look. Great project.

That looks awesome! Do you have a write-up on your Caddman mod? I'm trying to do that now and am having some fitment issues.

How many people would be interested? I could probably do a batch of 10 or so. What do you guys think they are worth? 45? After making my first one I know my second would be a lot more polished.

I would be, in RED (the fastest colour!!!). $45 (plus shipping) seems like a fair price.

I think I could do some in Red, Green, and Blue. I got plans to make a jig so the holes are in the right spot. Also, I didn't show it in the pictures, but I used drywall screw holders/pushins/what ever they are called pushed thought holes to hold the air filter in the correct place. I think I can improve on that. Also, I'll clean up the wiring A LOT. I would love to sell them, but I don't want them to look like junk (even though you only see the outside edge)

Might be a while, so hopefully you guys keep interest. We have Ragbrai in town this week then I'm gone two weeks for work. I'll def post in the for sale section when I get a few made!

I've got the red filters so I'd like to have red LED's. I'd buy a set!

I use one of these, sitting outside a bar and switching it on from 100ft or so can be quite amusing.
