I'm Back with a new ride.
Hello everyone:
Like the title says I have a new ride, after a year or so of not rideing or even owning a bike I am back with my dream bike, 2011 Vulcan Vaquero [ the red one of course ], that being said I have some questions. 1-the bike is used and with V&H Exhaust, so do i need a power comender or not ? 2-only 3052 miles on it what should i do or except to do ? Other items on my bike are passenger and driver back rest, passenger floor boards, taller clear windsheild, and the Ipod connection, and her name is Kandi [candy] Thanks for any and all help. Well I can't answer your question about the power commander. However, I can welcome you back and enjoy your new ride.

Hello, Welcome back.
Power Commander not needed if just aftermarket slip ons installed. At 3052 miles only oil and filter changes required. It is still under warranty, correct ? |

Welcome back!
IMHO, the Vaquero is the best looking Vulcan in Kawasaki's current line up. Enjoy your new ride. |

i would say yes to the programer i don't know for sure but my point is the bike is tuned from kaw with stock parts i've read that with FI bike the only way to change fuel settings
is with the programer. That being said if i were to change just pipes on a older carb bike with stock air filter i would rejet the carbs. on our bikes the stock fi is lean to start with i think thay would run better even stock with the programer installed. o yea glad to see u back |

You better teach her to spell it correctly. That could get confusing.

I put V&H baggers on my 03 Nomad FI and it ran lean. Then i put a Power Commander on. It ran a little better once i got it tuned right, but it lost some mpg. Don't know if it was worth what it for what i got out of it.

From what I can tell at this time my MPG'S are still good but there is alot of popping on deceleration.
Does anyone here have the CB and Comm system installed on there Vaquero? Would buying these items from Kaw. be the best option ? |
