Northwest/Southwest 2015

I've been talking/PMing and just basically calling some to see if in light of not attending the National in Arkansas in 2015 if some in our 2 regions would like to have a meeting in the middle at Lake Tahoe. Dave Degreve and I know that area well and there are more great rides than we'd have time for even if we spent an entire week there! Probably some of the most scenic rides out west.

Post here if your interested. Not that there is a minimum as we will all make our own reservations. Dave, Cliff, Grant, Melody, Marie and I are practically guaranteed to go no matter what. Hopefully we can stay at the same casino but not necessary! I'm thinking of Harvey's Casino. I'll look around to see the best biker friendly spot. this should not take anyone over 2 days to get there. Arkansas would be a 2 weeker for me and that's not going to happen until I retire. Then I'll live and ride like Ross!!

Just post your answer here.

Count me in, hopefully I'll be riding by then. Also, the wife and I are looking to buy a new house next year so that may affect my availability. Now that we are empty nesters we want to downsize.

I use Bookings and Trivago.com for my reservations. Take a look and give me an idea of what your willing to pay. I'd like not to exceed $100 a night. Should be able to get a nice place for that. I'd pay less if it's nice enough for us to drink and hang out at night. I put in 6/20/14 as a guesstimate date. I will stay Saturday through the following Friday. Give me some ideas.

Well Bob, if they hold the east coast rally a week after the nationals then you could make all three

It would be 450 miles closer, I already know I can't make the National with date conflicts. The wife is going to be traveling quite a bit next summer, if it was earlier in June before the high heat sets in it would be better.

Someone coming from my area has to cross the Sonoran and/or Mohave Deserts to get to Tahoe. Could be real nasty, although June might be better than July/August. Usually by mid June, it's over 110 here.

I definitely don't envy you there. I'd rather have to wear my leathers and long johns part way that be fried to a crisp in that kind of heat.

Harvey's would be fun. Plus, it's been "remodeled."

Might be somewhat busy two weeks before the 4th.

But the weather should be nice.
