Greg

The one thing that made the rides different was the scenery.

The two that I would pick would be....

1. Glacier NP Going to the Sun
2. Beartooth Highway.

Going to the Sun the views were breathtaking and no RVs or trailers to worry about. Glacier NP is now my second favorite National Park after Yosemite NP

To be honest after riding a lot on the twisties they all started to feel the same.
It's like the first time I went to Alaska, It was "Wow look at that beautiful mountain range!" and then 20 min. later it's "Look another beautiful mountain range!" after a few days of that it becomes an overload of beautiful mountains.
After a while I wanted to just hit the Super Highway, set the cruise control at 80 and eat up those miles.

Ricky,

Brad is the one with the communications setup. He and I communicated with the SMH10 Sena bluetooth headset and intercom. Only Brad and I had them. When we talk the camcorder picks up only my voice but not his.(you can hear me talking to Brad at the end of the video)

At the same time He communicates by CB to some of the other riders. On my bike I have a CB but not the intercom. So I can listen on my faring speakers to the CB but not talk.
What you hear on the video is the camcorder picking up the sound from my speakers when Brad or the other riders talk.

I have a Sony HDR-CX220 HD Handycam Camcorder that I have on a ram mount to the handlebars and films thru the windshield. I made a cone like felt hood that fits on the end of the camcorder and with the wider end of the cone up against the windshield so that it blocks most of the glare.

I am still working on setting up the camera on the rear of the motorcycle. It is a GoPro Hero 3. It is not a very consumer friendly camera. But I am working on it.

Thanks for the explanation Cliff. Now I get it. I also have the SENA SMH-10 ..[love it] ......I went to the GoPro camera after using a camcorder that I mounted on a Ram mount. I didn't think there was a whole lot of vibration but when I got back and viewed the video[s] the picture went black a few times,... off and on and then eventually it stayed black. Needless to say that camera got "chucked". ...Enter the GOpro..... and no, ...I don't find it REAL user friendly.
Thanks again for posting the video's though......I lived the trip through the lens of your camera.......
and without having to deal with B.D.. ......oops !

A few years ago I tried our family camcorder and it also would shut off at the hint of any vibration. It stored the data on a hard drive and that is what turned it off.
The new camcorders use memory cards and the new camcorders are much cheaper then the old ones.

Thank you about the videos. These are my version of a vacation photo book.

B.D. is a great guy to travel with!...... If you don't mind buying breakfast every morning. Or washing his bike to his specifications. or buying the Beer.

If you don't mind that he's a great guy to travel with!!
