Leamon Necaise 5-31-51 to 4-14-11

I am sorry to report the news that KawaNow member #1158 Lonnie Necaise passed away today from a heart attack. He will be missed by family and friends one and all. This Summers West Coast Rally won't be the same without him. He was thrilled about my recent purchase of a Nomad and was already planning our first adventure together along with our wives, who also happen to be co-workers. Lonnie, we will miss you. Our heart and thoughts are with his family at this time. Ride High!

You just never know. I mean look at Lonnie. He appeared to be in great physical shape and looked as healthy as a horse. I lost a dear friend and coworker shortly after Hurricane Katrina. He was in his mid 40's and was a huge mountain bike enthusiast. He rode over 50 miles nearly every weekend. This guy was 5'11 inches and weighed in at about 220. Nothing but muscle. Didn't smoke or drink but had a massive coronary about 4 hours after leaving me in the control room at midnight. He lived in a vegetative state for a few months after the heart attack and died from complications of pneumonia. It might sound cold but I was relieved to see him pass on. No way he would have wanted to live like he was being totally dependent on a nursing home. Sudden death of a friend is difficult to cope. My prayers go out to Lonnie's family and friends. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

Really sorry to hear this. May Lonnie rest in peace and ride where there's no rain.
Prayers go out to family and friends.
