2014 Nomad for sale

It's with a heavy heart that I have to put my Nomad up for sale. I no longer feel comfortable on 2 wheels so it has to go.


For those that don't know, 2014 was the last year of the Nomad . It also had a (1) year paint scheme (black/white/chrome is blacked out). My Nomad is in very good condition. The only flaws I've seen are a couple of touched up scratches on the tank and the usual boot marks on the right saddlebag lid. (I'll go out tomorrow w/a magic eraser to see if I can remove the boot marks.)


The Nomad has LOW miles (8427) that may go slightly up as I'd like to ride around the block just to keep the fluids flowing. The oil was changed just before I bought it a few months ago and I've only put about 300 miles on her. She has BRAND NEW tires (Metzler Cruisetec up front and Dunlop American Eagle in the back). I'd be surprised if there are 100 miles on the tires. The bike is mostly stock other than the following: Airlite leather crash bar closeouts ($120), Chucksters larger lowers ($50), Grasshopper backrest (used-$50), extra wind deflector above the stock windscreen ($40), mirror extenders ($20), (2) RAM mounts ($35) (the phone mount is on my Can Am) and driving lights (they were on the bike when I bought it--guessing about $250).


It HAS been Ivanized ($400 incl shipping) w/his latest flash. I sent it to him just a month or 2 ago.


It also comes with a full cover.


This bike runs great and needs nothing. I'd love to keep it but as noted, I just don't feel comfortable on 2 wheels any longer.


KBB says it's worth $7790. I'd take $6600 just to get rid of it. I owe the bank so someone would need to be local (or trust me w/your check). I'd say it's well worth what I'm asking, especially w/$500 worth of new rubber, the Ivanization and the other misc stuff.


It's located in North Wilkesboro, NC and is available for viewing any Saturday (all day) or Sunday afternoon. I'm also available most weekday evenings after 8pm. My insurance only covers me so if you want to take it for a test ride, put the cash in my hand. I'd be happy to ride it down the block and back so you can see that it runs well.

Chris I had to drop my price to sell mine, just sayin, how bad do you need to sell it?
I tried for a year to get what I know mine was worth KBB 6400, ended selling it for 4300 just to move it.

Hey, TC. I need to move it because I can't afford to make the payment. But, because I have to make a payment (and thus the bank "owns" the bike), I can't drop the price much. I have a little wiggle room but not much.


It's well worth what I'm asking but I get where you're coming from.

What the heck happened? You bought it 3 months ago, had it ivanized and now you don’t feel comfortable on 2 wheels?

I didn't really feel comfortable on 2 wheels when I bought it but since it had been some time since I'd been on 2 wheels, I thought that feeling would go away. I planned on keeping it. It quickly got to the point where I just wasn't riding. I like it. She's a beauty. She runs great, etc. I just can't do it.

Good question, TC, and one I don't have an answer to. I guess I've just realized that I'm not as invincible as I've always been, that I'm not a steady as I once was and that I heal a lot slower. I still get my knees in the breeze but comfortably on 3 wheels instead of 2.
