New kawanow member

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I ride a 2006 green/silver nomad. Bought it new in May of 07. Traded my vl-800 Suzuki. I have been riding motorcycles for 35 year's. Live in northern California. I mostly use this bike to ride to work, and I usually do a couple of 2-7 day trips a year. I do all my on maintenance. I am retired from the U.S. Coast Guard, and have been working for College Of The Redwoods for 10 years as the only auto tech/heavyequip tech/welder/fabricator and whatever else mechanical they can find me to work on. Anyway I've been checking out this site for awhile, and really like the idea of a Nomad only board. I know other stuff is also discussed but primarily the awesome Nomad.
