Trailer for hauling bike .. suggestions

Now I know what your all going to say but the wife can only handle short rides ( 2-3 hrs ) We're trying to plan a trip out to southern Alberta and do some site seeing . Taking the bike there and doing some riding sounds more promising .

I've seen many folding trailers and single bike haulers that look good but what do you think ? There's a folding single bike trailer made by Ace that looks pretty cool .

Any suggestions : Stability , easy to load and unload ect .

Check out Stinger trailers.

They are made in Ontario.

All depends on where you need to store the trailer, can you use a trailer for other uses besides hauling the bike, etc.

For the price of a Kensington, you could buy an enclosed trailer. Keeps bike out of sight and protected from the elements. Can be used as a portable garage, camper, etc.

Enclosed is the best way to go no doubt. But when I built the one posted above I paid just over 400 bucks in material ( 2 1/2" angle iron and 6" channel
Fenders and wheels and tires, it gets a lot of use moving people, yard debris any that fits. Just went through last year and moved some tie down points to accommodate my vaquero a lil better

Thanks guys for all the help here . The Kenden/Stinger trailers are pretty nice but way more than I want to spend . I just can't see myself using it very often to justify it . I was talking with some co workers yesterday and now have a connection to barrow one .

I will be keeping my eyes out for a small enclosed trailer . It really does seem the best way to go . Just mentioning this to my wife that we could use it for other things really appealed to her .

What appeals to me is that I can keep my bike in it nice and safe when I'm not using it .

My brother bought a new Princess Auto landscape trailer. Its 5' or 6'x10' with a wooden floor, they mounted wheel chocks, tie down straps, and a small storage box on the tongue.
It has a mesh steel loading ramp and pulls two bikes effortlessly. Its not enclosed but its a slick setup for hauling bikes.

Funny you should say that ! A co worker I ride with suggested I go to PA and look at some trailers there . Great idea , if the price is right I may just go that route . Then I could use it for hauling garbage , lumber and other things .

The only concern I have is loading and unloading . I want it to be as easy as possible . I wouldn't want to be the next utube victim .

Those landscape trailer with the mesh gate are pretty easy to load, but that gate will provide lower mileage than the same size enclosed V nose trailer.

Enclosed like that is the way to go. You also have a dry place to store it full time.

I ordered one front tire motorcycle lock and converted my ATV trailer to a bike trailer to.
You guys can pick these things up cheap on e bay or craigs list. Added a 8000 pound winch then mounted a truck tool box over top. Added two 18W LED flush mount work lights to the box battery for the winch and lights is inside the tool box switch for the lights to. Out the weather. Picked the truck box up for 40 dollars on our local internet swap shop. . Give you all kinda of storage, on your trailer.

That bike mount comes off with 4 bolts and its removable. e bay about 38 dollars.

That's a really nice set up you have there . I will shop around for an enclosed trailer but if I can't find one on the cheap that's exactly what I will be looking for .

Thanks for sharing the pics . . . appreciate the help !!
