About the Cabins
Just wanted everyone to know what to expect.
The term cabins is being used very loosely at the park. These were not something built by the CCC in the 1930's nestled back in the woods. They are six sided buildings built in groups of three. Each cabin is a duplex. I would say all the cabins sit on about 2 1/2 acres. They are all fairly close together but certainly not like a motel. So visiting in the evening may require a short walk, unless we're all hanging out at your place. Or you can just relax on your own patio. Parking...... You won't have to hike to your room. There are two main parking lots and several other parking spots at the cabins. I will tell you that the lot in the top of the picture does have quite a bit of left to right slope. Enough slope that parking on it as laid out won't really work. Bikes are small and there is plenty of room to park, so it shouldn't be a major problem, but we will need to be careful. I'd say forget the painted spaces and park uphill.
