Coming East, Don't Miss?
For those who haven't been East to Atlantic Canada, here are a couple things to consider for your trip. PEI is a short ferry ride from Nova Scotia or a 15 minute or so ride over the Confederation Bridge. Plan a ride of the Island. Another thing you could plan, if the Cape Breton Rally is mid August. The Wharf Rat Rally is Labour Day Weekend. It is from August 29th through September 2nd 2018. It is the largest bike rally in eastern Canada, some say in Canada. If you are thinking of attending, as soon as the Cape Breton dates are announced you will need to book hotel/ motel rooms very early. Then after the WRR you can jump the ferry from Digby to Saint John, it will save a full day of riding back to the USA or Quebec/Ontario and points beyond.

If your going, take the time to go to Newfoundland and Labrador you won't regret it. Take the midnight ferry over, viewing the water isn't very exciting so you might as well sleep some.
Couple of things I found out while there. The university's are hostels during the summer so good place to stay for cheap. If you go to Labrador the RMP barracks are on the left side and if the cruiser is there your fine, they only have one, but if you do get stopped you can pay the fine with Master Card through the mail. Just part of my traveling cost Newfoundland has it's own time zone, it's 1/2 hr ahead of the mainland. The people are super friendly and the Northern Star riders are great group of riders (Yamaha) Hoping to make this meeting and go back to Newfoundland. Wife is still upset with me for going there without her.

Yep, not one of my brighter ideas. Don't know how long I will be paying for that misstep.
Hoping that we can make it this year but already have bike trips planned to go to Oregon and Wisconsin this summer. Yes she is riding with me.
