So who's out there

Hi All,
Because We have turned a page and now have a new regional board, I thought We could use this thread to find out a little bit about ourselves.

The Members list and members map may not accurately reflect our current situation, so I invite you to reply indicating you location ( city and Provence ) and what you might be interested in. A regional rally, a local get together, a riding buddy in your area, all of the above, none of the above, or get lost CNC.
I also invite those of you who may read this thread as a guest, own a Nomad and live in the region to join us.
CNC

Never know what to say so here goes nothing. On my 4th Vulcan now. 2005 1600 Nomad. Been riding since the 80's. finally made it legal in 89. many bikes over the years but fell in love with Vulcans when I bought a 94 1500 way back brand new and rode it into the ground over 120,000kms. moved up to an 05 new back when I was a working guy full time. then another, then a Triumph, now back to another 05 1600 Nomad. I live about an hour from Sarnia Ont. Kettle and Stony Point-FN. Been with different groups over the years. Now riding with The CAV(Canadian Army Veterans Motorcycle Units). I was a short timer, nothing interesting thankfully and a long time ago. Last job ended 2009 officially- Technical Analyst/Project Manager for GM Defense/GDLS-C -Stryker Brigade Combat Team Program. Medical reasons I had to resign. Pensioned now due to motorcycle accident on Nomad #1. I do computer work from home when I can get it. Riding, Leather work, Wood burning(pyrography) and much more. still learning how to use this room. currently looking for info on differences between 2004 and 2005 1600 nomads. I've usually tossed on the Duncan Hines exhaust but want something different. was researching with a Suzuki Racing Mechanic on Cobra duals but hit a snag. Cobra claims they fit up to 2004 then list no years after. Anyone knowledgeable on this? Anyway, nice to read all the back posts. sorry if my post crosses over the intent of your original post cnc. Cheers all. What doesn't kill us makes us stranger. L8ter.

Hey Torch, welcome to the VBA. I think you will find a great bunch of people on here, many very knowledgable. You will find in the tech section a board devoted to the 1500 and 1600 Nomad. Post any questions you have about years and exhaust options on there and you will get the most responses.

Tanx!

Tanx for your response. I found the info needed. I just installed the cobra True Duals with billet tips. The sound and performance has improved greatly. Cheers.

Hey mudpuppy, welcome to the site. There are a few members up your way, perhaps they will chime in. Also in the main part of the forum there is a new members section. Introduce yourself there as well and everyone on the forum will get to see it.
Again welcome.

Hi guys and I know, gals. I have met some of you this past August(2014 N.E.US/E.Can Rally) but never introduced myself to the membership, near and far. I have a 1999 VN1500 which I just love pointing it in any direction and riding. I live in Yarmouth,Nova Scotia. Yes I was again at the Wharf Rat Rally this past Labour Day Weekend,it's sort of my way of saying goodbye to summer. Hello Fall. If there are any members within a couple hours there is still great fall riding coming up.
I have already started planning next years road trip. At some point, will be in Hanover,ON.area. The last time I was there(3years ago) I would jump on the bike first thing in the morning, just head out in any direction. The riding was great, and with the GPS I didn't have to worry about where I was at the end of the day. Just enter my home base, and it would point me back. Once I get my planning finished,(over the off season),I'll let you guys and gals know. I hope to be able to meet up with some old friends from this past summer. Plus meet some new friends on the trip.

Hi Pete,
It was great meeting you and Dave at the rally.
Always wanted to get back down your way since doing the Cabot Trail in 2009.
Maybe 2016 will be the year, I never know where I am going till it happens!
Norm

Like wise, I'm sure we will meet up at some point next season, although I did see a bike out today.

Hi Folks,
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I am in Tillsonburg, Ontario. Which is between London and Kitchener.
I just purchased a 2015 Vaquero and sadly can't ride due to weather......damn snow.
Anyways, only a few more weeks and things will clear up.
Not sure, but wondered if there were any plans for Vulcan rallies this upcoming riding season?
