Power Commander III Map Files
20004 VN1500FI Nonmad:
I have now fitted the V&H 3" Bagger exhaust, PCIII USB and the Kuryakin Std Hypercharger. I have dumped in the closest map that Dynojet have for download and the bike is running. (not that I can ride it yet - 12" of snow out there...) Does anyone have any experience with these maps, any changes or tweaks for the Dynojet maps for this set up? I'm running the map M202-006 from the website. It says it's good for my new exhaust with the PCIII and a K&N air filter. Thoughts...? Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I tried to get PCIII to work for years. Gave up and went to Dobeck TFI.
Works great.

I did have the pc111 on my bike for a couple of years when I first bought it . I also had it on map 006 . That seemed to be the best map they had to offer . Then I had it dyno'd and I had a lot more "get up and go" but my fuel economy suffered .
There not a bad unit but most will tell you to get it dyno'd for the best results . I too have gone to Dobeck and love it . Easy install and set up . I feel your pain , The snow will pass and we'll be out again enjoying the open road ! |

Thanks Guys. How I wish I had these conversations before buying parts... thought dynojet was a tried and tested product... Live and learn!! I guess I'll tough it out for a bit and see how it runs. There are Dyno centres within easy reach so I could go that route.

Thats the only bad thing about going with mapping software/tuners. Yes, its best to go to a tuning facility, where they can put it on the rollers and run it in real time, on the spot, in person. Trail and error really bites....
Been thru all the crap with EFIs at the dealers, with addons. Its best to go with Dobeck, Wiseco, others have tuners that are like carb tuners, with definite idle, low, mid, topend tuning regions. Alot simpler and cheaper in the long run. Some dyna-tune facilities charge $225 basic price, on up, thats run in and mapping....
