Wish Me Luck!

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I just dropped it here. This Saturday morning Aug 1, I will be hitting the road on the Nomad from Everett, WA. to San Bernadino, CA. The purpose of my trip, as many of you already know, is that I was selected to be part of the 2009 umpiring crew for the Little League Western Regional Tournament. This is only one tournament below the Little League World Series, of which the winning team in San Bernardino will travel to. I will be eligible to work the LLWS Tournament upon completion of my work in San Bernardino... ! I am told to expect about a ten year wait for that however.... :-/.

For anyone interested in following the tournament I have included the following link. The last two games will be televised on ESPN or EPSN2. There is a chance I could be assigned a spot in one of those games (or not).

Anyways, while there will be a computer available for us to use in the dorm, I'm not sure how much time I will have to post or keep up with things on here. I will try to update this post from time to time and check in....especially if I am one of the lucky few to get a final assignment!

I plan to be home again on Aug 20 and can get back into my usual routine then. In the meantime, it will be eight days of riding (to and from) with about ten days of great tournament baseball in between, clearly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You won't see much from me in the way of posts until I get back. Sooooo.... wish me luck and hope that I don't suck !
