Nomad 1700
Well I seen one today at the dealer. :) He said he would only get 2 of those and 2 of the Voyagers. ::) Maw-Kaw is spreading them thin. Two of each per dealer. At least for now. Had a great price for the '09 Nomad of $14,649.00, Considering what I had heard, this was a suprise. The seat was a good bit more comfortable thank the stock 08 and down, had better foam and possibly some gel inside. Handlebars were pulled back further, eliminating need for aftermarket risers. Heel/toe shifter on this model is one piece, so no adjustments indiviually there. ::) Saddlebags, yeah those were flimsy if you ask my opinion, I'll stick to the sideloaders on my "06. I like my shaft driver too. I did like the instrument cowl, the way the key socket dropped in from more. looked good. Wondshield has no up-down adjustment tho. the pipes looked like the Cobra slashcuts from behind, not the round tips like earlier models, I liked the look of that. Lower half of the engine was redone, looks entirely different...jury still out on that one. I like the electronic cruise control, but the formerly polished steel switch covers are now black, and the fluid resivoirs were restyled too. Less detail to the rear of the passenger backrest too. and the taillight is now recessed. Turnsignals also looked overall smaller to me. all in all, a sweet looking bike, but I don't think I wanna give up MINE YET... ;)

I know what you mean- lot's of people encouraged me to get an '08, and I'm glad I did. There are some things that I'm sure will be nice on the '09's, but quite a price difference. This time next year, I suppose the '09's will be selling for considerably less.

Was at a dealer in Lakeland, FL today and he said he expected to get them in May. Maybe he will get them before that. He did have two 1700 Classics though.

A dealer in Flagstaff told me last Thursday when I was there visiting, that he had no idea if he was going to get any till maybe late this summer. Here in Canada { B.C.} I had a Langley dealer tell me in Feb. that it looked more like a 2010 release.... Go figure.
