Frame Down Tube Question
First of all, thanks to everyone who has given up their knowledge and experience with the Nomad on this forum...you have helped make my transition from other makes/models much easier. This question has been bugging me for a few days, however, and figured that someone out there might have the answer...
When I removed the manufacturer's sticker from my 2008 Nomad's frame down tube (right side), I noticed that it was covering two tiny holes about 1/8" in diameter and about 3" apart (they are not capped). Does anyone know what they are for? Thanks in advance. Mark Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Frame Down Tube Question
I believe you're seeing the end of two either hex or star bolts that hold your frame together. They should have caps.

Frame Down Tube Question
The holes that I am seeing are below, I believe, the frame joint that you guys are referring to . Interestingly, I looked at the 2008 Kawasaki brochure and in a few views of different Vulcans I can see one of the two holes in pictures (the lower one being covered by the manufacturer's label). I also looked at the frame of a buddy's 1500 Classic and, sure enough, one of the two holes is visible above the label with the lower one being covered by the label. It's no big deal...just one of those mysterious things. Thanks for getting back to me.
