Lights on the bags would probably be a good idea. Something else that I saw, that would be much cheaper and cleaner looking IMO was someone put a 14" LED light strip across the rail that connects the saddlebag supports. It was directly connected to the brake light, and put off a LOT light.

We just installled our bag lights a bit ago. They are replicas off of a '49 Ford and rapid fire LED.

Hi
have you thought of making your rear turn signals into run/turn/brake lights? Also hook up the flash module so when you apply your brakes the rear lights will pulsate 3-4 times. When I see someone coming up at a questionable speed and wonder "is he going to stop" I apply and re apply the brakes a few times, causing the brake lights {all three} to pulsate. Go with LED lighting too. You know your lights are bright when you have someone pull along side of you and say "hey!! your brake lights are stuck on" I like to pull ahead if I can and squeeze the brakes to show him.... Oh no they aren't.

I like the idea of adding bag lights too!! I like the "tombstone" lights like Voyager has.

OR.... I've seen people who have added OEM brake lights to their saddle bags. This is how I'd like to do some, ...one day.
This guy/gal has a small piece of chrome "installed" under the rear fender brake light. A nice touch to help someone see you.
Hummm I might have to try that ???

i do have some lighting, 15 LED mounted under my luggage rack and two 35 watt halogen kuryakan teardrops mounted on each side of the rack (as brake lights) and red LED bulbs in the rear turn signals that blink fast to better catch the eye, so i thought, maybe a steibel horn facing the rear might work also

I like that. I am repainting my bike this winter and I have toyed with the idea of removing the tern signals and mounting lights to the bags. I'd fill and sand the hole left behind.

You know, even if you could mount the sun on the front and back of our bikes there are always some idiots that still wouldn't see us.
