To resize, I opened the picture on my computer in Windows Photo Viewer. On the tool bar there is a tab marked "open." I clicked this tab then clicked on the "Windows Office Picture Manager." Once there I clicked on "Edit Pictures." A box will open on the side of the window and towards the bottom of that box is the option to resize the picture. Click on "Compress Picture." If you click on the circle marked "Web Pages" the picture will resize automatically. I then saved the new picture. From there, you need to go to "User CP" towards the top of the forum page. When this opens you will see the "Control Panel" on the left side. For your avatar picture, click on "Edit Profile Picture." You will be given two options to either upload a pic from the internet or off your computer. I went with option 2. I then hit the browse button on found the picture I saved for my avatar. I then opened it and when I did there was a Insert Photo (or something to that effect) towards the top of the box. I clicked that and then saved the change. For the signature photo, you go to Settings and Options on your "User CP" and then click on "edit Signature." From there I just followed what I did for my avatar pic. Sorry that this is a little long, and maybe someone else who is more computer savvy knows a shortcut, but this is what worked for me. Good luck.
