Will Cobra True Duals Drag?

The stock pipes on my 2001 1500FI drag occasionally (okay regularly ) when I push it hard on mountain twisties. The problem seems to be worse when going downhill into a sharp turn.

I am considering installing Cobra True Duals w/Billet Tips for improved sound and to remove the goat bladder, but I don't want to make the dragging problem any worse. My concern is that the diameter of the True Duals is slightly larger and they don't tapper like the stock mufflers.
