Many different factors, my own design BAK, fresh air ducting, HIGHLY modified V&H 2-1 exhaust, PCV and a 2 teeth smaller rear pulley. With this combo I saw 48.35 mpg on a Sunday ride few weeks ago. The last tank which had a lot of city driving netted 44.98mpg. I DO NOT use the bike's mpg meter, all calculations are with gps mileage and a calculator.
Can't trust the bike's mpg meter.
