Sue and I pulled in yesterday evening just before 7:30 with a total of 4,332 miles for the trip. In spite of a failed fan sensor on both mine and onesherpa's bike, which had both bikes in the shop for a day and a half, it was still a great rally. Special thanks to the folks who gave us rides to and from the bike shop in Rogers, about 40 miles away. I have a new appreciation for what Sue deals with riding on the back, having had that "opportunity" through some pretty curvy roads. Wonderful to meet folks, great riding in the area, and a great banquet at the end. Thanks to all who worked very hard putting the rally together.
After leaving on Friday, we headed to Hot Springs, then to Memphis for Gus's Fried Chicken and Mississippi Mud Pie at Westy's, on to visit relatives in northwest Georgia, the Cherohala Skyway and the Tail of the Dragon, Maggie Valley, Biltmore House, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive, Falling Water and Kentuck Knob (Frank Lloyd Wright houses in southwest Pennsylvania), and finally home. All in all, another great trip.
