FOR SALE, 2009 NOMAD, $5900, Alexandria VA
As of March 2019 no bites so I’ll keep it awhile longer.
Would like to trade down so if you know someone with a smaller machine who’d be interested in moving up it’s a possibility. Of course since this is VulcanBagger you know all the basics. So this will cover the not basics. 29518 miles as of last night. Bike comes with the following: AirLite engine guard chaps Chucksters Large Lower Windguards (stock lowers included) Wompus Flat Steel Rack King Tourpak (from A1 Hardbags, apparently no longer in business) IMO the factory backrest is more supportive than anything box mounted so I wanted to keep it in place requiring the box to be mounted a bit further back. Got a steel flat bar from Home Depot and cut 4 pieces. Bars are mounted inside and under the box to spread stress. Mounted with stainless hardware (with o-rings to absorb vibration) on the steel bars, on the steel Wompus. Galfer SS front brake and clutch lines (rear line not installed but included) Avon heated grips with chrome throttle rocker (with extra Avon air cushion chrome boss grip set, not heated) National Cycle hand guard wind deflectors (installed on mirror extensions) Westach dual Cylinder Head Temp guage Saddlebag Trim Rails, Kawasaki K53020184 TPMS Colorrite touchup kit with TU3785 Kawasaki 25T Candy Diamond Red and TU1785 base 1785 also included. Also comes with Fiamm Freeway Blasters, and an extra OEM drive belt. Nothing wrong with the one installed, just got a good deal on a new belt and thought it wise to have one just in case. Windshield deflector, 39154-0034, that fills the gap when you raise the windscreen Digital voltmeter, blue 6 fuse power block under the right cover so you don’ t have to tie everything to the battery or try to find a line to tap into. SAE connector EBC FA229/231 front pads 3 Mar 2018 Battery YTX20CH-BS, 24 Feb 2018 R Avon Cobra AV72 F Shinko Tourmaster 230 Yes, it's been dropped. Once in the garage while changing the oil, and once on the Dragon when I lost my footing at a stop. Small rash on the right bag, crash bar, and mirror attest that it did, in-fact, hit the ground. There are slight marks on the right bag top where my foot sometimes drags over because I'm short. The left side 6-speed sticker is worn from my boot resting against it. And the fender sticker covers a rock chip in the paint. It's seen plenty of sunshine, rain and snow, and it still looks good. But if you're looking for a garage queen that looks showroom, this ain't it. It's been an excellent motorcycle that I commuted on my last year of work and in the ensuing years made several trips to TX, and once to KC for a really good steak. It's well appointed for travel so if you're looking for a motorcycle to get you there, and bring you home in some manner of comfort, this might do you. The sale comes about as we're trying to relocate and with several motorcycles, this one will be the easiest to move without. If you're interested, you're welcome to come take a look, or have someone you know in the area take a look. If you end up buying, a fly-and-ride is eminently doable as there are 3 airports in the area. I can pick you up and you can ride home on plates you bring with you or my plates/registration as long as you have your own insurance. If you know anyone looking please let them know. PM or reply if interested. Thanks for your consideration, ride safe. John
