new rear tire and balancing beads
looking at a new rear tire - Michelin Commander 11 180/65B/16 believe this tire will fit my 05 Nomad. Also how many ounces of beads should be put in.

Use airsoft pellets. Cheaper and work just as well.

Use the original Dyna-Beads not a cheap copy.
I'm surprised Bud would suggest using a copy and not the original as his original lift adapter was copied and is still being sold on Ebay. As I remember he was not to happy about that.

I have used DBs in both F and Rear tire for 3 sets of tires. No problems. Will use then next time.

Nothing wrong with the Air-Soft pellets. You will wear the tire out before they wear out. Also, they will not blow out the valve stem when you check the air pressure.

Besides, Dynabeads are inexpensive so why bother with plastic beads? |

Airsoft pellets are also more prone to being misshapen or having an off center airpocket, and depending on quality a ridge where the seam is. Seeing hot db work i would assume those characteristics would hamper their performance.

This is my first try of Dyna Beads in the set of New front and back Pirelli Night Dragons.
I let my mechanic do the tire (s) change out since he was doing other work for me. One thing is the valve stems do get clogged --but someone here stated there is a filter?-- have a compressor nearby when checking your air pressure! Another thing is if you pick up a nail/screw I would assume a quick plug fix but you would Not be able to add any sort of sealant. On the positive side they work as stated -so I give them a thumbs up. |

Theories abound. I wore out a tire with airsoft pellets installed and reclaimed them for the next tire. No damage to the inside of the tire and no beads that appeared to be misshapen.
