Install Hopkins 46365?
Bought the unit to install on my 2006 Nomad. Hitch installed but want to wire the unit properly so as to not screw something else up. Any info on how to do it right the first time would be appreciated.

Did a search and found something on the electrical section of this forum but it had a Kuryakyn Run/Turn/Brake module which I don't have. Didn't know if that additional unit changed things or not.

It shouldn't change things. Here is a link to the instructions. You probably already have them though. I have installed these on two different bikes.
One being a 2006 Nomad. A good place to put the unit as Mitch showed in the post is by the coolant overflow tank. Pretty much just wire it up as shown. Hook the large red wire up to the battery and the white to the ground. I tapped into the bikes wires where they go through the rear fender under the seat. I probably have the wire colors written down somewhere at home. Just figure out what wire is left, right, etc. on the bike and hook it up as shown in the instruction and it should work.

Thanks BudMan. Yes haven't opened up package yet but wanted to make sure all was good. Will tackle the hook-up when time is available.

I should have mentioned that there is a female double bullet connector under the seat.
It's a 10 amp switched connection. It's hot whenever the key is on. You can use it as the input for the tail light. One less wire to splice into.

You will need to hook the converter's power supply to the battery.
The trailer lights and converter would likely be more than the 10 amp circuit can handle. But since the circuit I mentioned is hot only when you turn the key on it can act as the tail light input to the converter saving you from splicing into the actual tail light wire.

Well I am not understanding. The 4 wires coming from the Hoppy would I guess hook into the 3 for the turn, stop, running and the 4th to the white for the ground so I don't understand how a 10 amp power supply would work for that application.

When I hooked mine up, I tapped into my lines up-stream from the run-turn-brake controller, and just followed the directions.

What I was trying to say is there is a circuit under the seat that you could use as the connection to the brown wire on the hoppy.
The brown wire is the input for the tail light according to the directions. This 10 amp circuit is not enough to actually use to run the converter but could be used to "signal" the converter that the tail light is on. It's right there handy and you wouldn't need to splice into the bikes tail light wire. Here is a link to to a picture of some of the connections under the seat. Just use an ice pick circuit tester and you notice it's only hot when the key is on.

I think you will find that the wires going to the back of the bike are red, blue, green and gray.
If that correct and the directions I linked to are correct it should connect to what I have below. Of course use a tester to determine exactly what wire goes to what lamp on the bike before wiring it up. Blue= Brake (connect to small red wire on hoppy) Green= Left Turn (connect to yellow wire on hoppy) Gray= Right Turn (connect to green wire on hoppy) Red= Tail (connect to the brown wire. You could use connection I mentioned instead of splicing into this wire)
